Hi guys,
From yesterday i am carefully reading all comments and reviews related to Drona, I watch Drona yesterday itself, however i have posted my verdict, again to recall you all "YES , I like the movie very much, and this is my all time favourite movie now, will watch it again tomorrow".
I agree this movie is every one's cup of Tea, you have to be Kiddish by heart and comic Lover to enjoy this Great flick. I can find it very easy to relate to this movie because i have read many comics book in my childhood with similar storyLine ... This movie is treat for me ....
Now here's answer to some of your questions/concerns :
1. Abhishek doesn't look like superHero
Ans : He never meant to be superHero, he is shown an ordinary man who doesn't know his identity, a very ordinary person whose upbringing is not even healthy. but once he realised his identity and he got some powers by following the rules that destiny has written for him, he achieved for what he made for.
2.There is no story in movie ... The biggest flaw of the Drona was the weak story/ screenplay.
Ans : Ohh my Godd ... i mean can any one write the story of movie in 1-2 Line. Not at all.Content of Movie is such a strong and Novel that i dont believe any one have seen this type of story ever on indian screen.
3.Samazh mein hi nahi aaya ho kya raha hai.
ANS : Are you guys such a dumb and brainless ... you dont underStand the story? seriously its not meant for you.
4. Movie make restLess with 15-20 minutes.
ANS : if restLess means curious then thanks .. its is compliment for movie .. and if you feel disturbed then i am sorry .. dont understand what made you disturb .. something novel is presented to you made you restless or you guys are habitual to see same old simple love stories. Get a life Man ..
5. There was no depth to the film. Characters weren’t developed properly; therefore the audience didn’t have time to engage or emotional invest in any of them.
ANS : There was no need to go in depth.You know enough about each charater at the end of movie. and i think the Whole scene of Drona meet his mother and Nanhe Nanhe song in background and converting of Queen jayati into Statue is very emotional. what else you want. i think if you need more emotions then better you see Ekta kapoor serials(However Drona has better emotions then those craps).
6. The costumes and sets were way over the top and seemed more childlike and fake, instead of giving off the illusion of fantasy and mystery (the whole Raazpur sequence was just too hard to swallow).
ANS : This whole sequnce was meant like this .. Exactly we used to heard in fairy tales, A perfect sequence for any fantacy movie like this(if you know exactly what fantacy is) ... I hope you know that razpur was Mayavi nagari ... how you imagine that nagari should be other than this? i give 5/5 for this sequence.
7. Dialogues were painfully slow and filled with clichés.
For a mysterious movie like this it was meant to be like this .. i think reason of your pain must be something else. please consult doctor in urgent.
8.The visual effects weren’t cutting-edge and, in fact, most of the scenes didn’t even require them.
ANS : did you watch this movie in Pirated DVD? if this is case then its OK .. otherwise name me a single bollywood movie whose visual effects are better then this.
9. There were too many questions left unanswered, too many holes in the story, too many puzzles
ANS : Please tell me which question you want an answer .. i am sure there is not even single question unanswered in movie unless you went to loo in between movie.
