She’s The Man actress Amanda Bynes has reportedly been placed on a psychiatric hold after she was found roaming the streets of Los Angeles naked and alone.

According to a TMZ report, Bynes was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning without any clothes. Bynes waved a car down, telling the driver she was coming down from a psychotic episode. She herself then called 911.

As per the outlet’s law enforcement sources, Bynes was taken to a nearby police station where a team dedicated to mental health took care of her and ultimately decided that “she needed to be placed on a 5150 psych hold,” per the outlet. The actress is reportedly safe and uninjured.

Amanda, who has bipolar disorder and struggled with substance abuse in the past, is currently hospitalized and sources say she is “likely to continue to receive care for several days.” The report further notes that typically, a psychiatric hold only lasts 72 hours, but it can be extended.

Meanwhile, Bynes’ ex-fiancé Paul Michael shared that the actress had allegedly not been taking her medication prior to being placed on a psychiatric hold early Sunday. “She got off her meds, and she’s still off her meds,” Michael told Page Six. “She’s wild.”

Bynes’ 9-year conservatorship was officially terminated around a year ago. In February 2022, Bynes filed a petition to terminate her parents Lynn and Rick Bynes’ conservatorship of her, which granted them legal control over her affairs in 2013.

Bynes was first placed under the conservatorship in August 2013, following her highly publicized spiral of erratic behavior and multiple arrests amid a struggle with substance abuse. In 2018, the actress told said that she had been sober for four years and thanked her parents for helping her “get back on track.”
