The music maestro A.R. Rahman is not just the pride of India but also is an internationally acclaimed music composer. The Oscar-winning musician recently was seen catching up with the legendary composer Hans Zimmer at the Oscar Concert here on Wednesday, February 28.
A.R. Rahman is in the United States to perform at the Oscars 2018 concert. Before the show, he met up with Hans Zimmer and the two had a lot to catch up on. “Catching up,” Rahman captioned the candid moment.
A.R. Rahman looked sharp in a black tux as he performed at the concert. His hit Oscar-winning score from Slumdog Millionaire was in the lineup. “Getting ready for the Oscar concert with the LA philharmonic orchestra,” Rahman shared a red carpet image from the concert.
The Oscars 2018 concert including this year’s all five original score Oscar nominees: Dunkirk by Hans Zimmer, Phantom Thread by Jonny Greenwood, The Shape of Water by Alexandre Desplat, Star Wars: The Last Jedi by John Williams, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri by Carter Burwell. The Oscars 2018 concert was organized before the 90th annual Oscars which will be held on Sunday. It was held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
For the uninitiated, the legendary composer Hans Zimmer is the man behind the music of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Gladiator, Inception and The Lion King.
A.R. Rahman himself had brought home two Oscars for the ‘Jai Ho’ for Danny Boyle’s film Slumdog Millionaire the 81st Academy Awards.
