The Nitesh Tiwari directed film Dangal starring Aamir Khan was definitely one of the biggest money spinners of 2016. The film which opened on a high note continued its stellar run at the box office weeks after its release. In the overseas markets as well, Dangal has been on a roll.
In this box office report we take a look at the collections of Dangal in the overseas territory of New Zealand, while comparing them to previous releases that have released in that territory. Collecting approx. 635k NZ$, Dangal has become the highest grosser in New Zealand. In fact Dangal has managed to surpass the previous release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that had collected NZ$ 633,795 to claim the number one spot. Interestingly, this will be the third overseas territory in which Dangal has topped the charts as the All Time highest grosser, the first two being Australia and North America in that particular order.
