Besides the fact that R. Balki is collaborating with Akshay Kumar for the first time, his next film has a lot more in store. Dealing with a novel and unique storyline, the actor’s next film is titled Pad Man.
Akshay Kumar’s next with R.Balki titled Pad ManBy now, readers may be aware that this slice-of-life film, inspired by true events, attempts to bring forth the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who changed the fate of sanitary pads for women in a village. Producer of the film, Twinkle Khanna had initially researched on the story but taking the concept further is R. Balki for the film adaptation. The film deals with Muruganantham’s attempt to improve hygienic conditions for women in his village who couldn’t afford expensive high end sanitary pads and the man decided to crack the process of making pads in order to sell them in cheaper and reasonable rates.
Twinkle Khanna turns producer with Pad Man and will make this under her banner Mrs Funnybones. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte and is slated to go on floors soon. From what we hear, Amitabh Bachchan too has a pivotal role to play in the film.
