Garnering global acclaim for his role as Rocky Bhai in KGF franchise, fans of Yash cannot wait to see him return in cinemas and set the silver screen on fire. So, when he announced his next film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, fans couldn’t hold their excitement and are constantly eager to know the progress on the film, which has been on the cards for quite some time now. While the film’s makers are reportedly ensuring to fulfil almost all expectations attached to it, we hear that it has reached the final schedule and will be wrapped up in Mumbai.
According to an India Today report, we hear that Yash is currently in the city of dreams where he is completing the final leg of the film’s shoot. Giving us a deeper insight into the shoot schedule, a source told the website, “This schedule is crucial as it involves some of the most intense sequences in the film. The team has planned high-octane chase sequences, hand-to-hand combat, and dramatic confrontations." The source also went on to describe how the film’s director is keen on creating a character which Yash has never played before. “This is not your usual action film. Geetu Mohandas has crafted a world that is both gritty and visually stunning. Yash’s character is unlike anything audiences have seen before, and the film’s multilingual approach will give it a global appeal,” the source added.
It is also being said that another source from the film’s team has opened up about the extensive involvement of the star in the making of the movie. The source shared, “Yash has been deeply involved in every aspect of this film, from the script to the action choreography. He wants Toxic to be a landmark film in his career. His fans will see a new side of him, and the wait will be worth it.” Also commenting on the action, yet another source mentioned, “The action sequences in Toxic are unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema. Yash has trained extensively for these sequences, and we are pushing the boundaries to deliver something truly spectacular.”
However, other reports suggest that Yash is in Bombay for some work on special effects while shoot is in progress in Bangalore.
Apart from Yash, Toxic features an ensemble female cast that includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, among others. Touted to be a period action gangster drama, the film is set to release in the second half of 2025.
