Director SS Rajamouli's upcoming film RRR has been one of the most anticipated films ever since it was announced. Before the lockdown commenced, the makers had announced that the film will be released on January 8, 2021. The film stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt playing pivotal roles.

According to reports, the makers of RRR are planning a surprise for Jr NTR for his birthday which falls on May 20. Reportedly, the makers plan on introducing Jr NTR's character, Komaram Bheem. Jr NTR turns 36 on May 20 and fans have already started celebrating his birthday on social media.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan who plays Alluri Seetharama Raju in the period drama celebrated his 35th birthday in March. On his birthday, Jr NTR released a video introducing his character. Happy Birthday Charan. As promised, I give you @AlwaysRamCharan! Happy birthday brother! Will cherish our bond forever. #BheemforRamaraju," Jr NTR wrote while sharing the video.

Meanwhile, there are rumours doing the rounds that the release of the film will be postponed. The film was supposed to release in 10 languages on January 8, 2021. However, the ongoing pandemic has halted the shoot of the film. Owing to the uncertainties on when the shoot will commence the makers are said to have pushed the release to summer of 2021.
