While he was last seen in The Family Star, Vijay Deverakonda is now wrapping up several of his pending films. Amid fans who are eagerly awaiting updates about the project, there has been a new update about one of his upcoming releases. The untitled drama, currently being referred to as VD 12, is being extensively shot in Sri Lanka, confirmed the producers Sithara Entertainment.
Producers share a note on social media
In a long note penned by the production house, they have not only shared an update about the film but have also mentioned that an official announcement regarding the first look and other details will be made soon. Taking to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, they requested media and others to stop spreading fake news and issued a clarification along with an update on the film.
Addressing the fans of Vijay as ‘Rowdy Fans’, the note read, “We Share Your Excitement And Enthusiasm! Team #Vd12 Is Working Very Hard To Bring You An Unforgettable Theatrical Experience. Till Date, We Have Completed 60% Of The Shoot And Are Currently Filming In Sri Lanka. For The Past Six Months, We Have Been Keeping Details Under Wraps. Preserving The First Look For A Red Hot Official Unveiling. We Kindly Ask You To Refrain From Sharing Any Leaks And Wait For The Official Announcement, Coming Very Soon!”

It is being said that the film is a high-budget espionage action thriller, with Vijay Deverakonda essaying the role of a cop and Bhagyashree Borse essaying the role of his love interest. Directed by Gowtam Tinnauri, the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography is handled by Girish Gangadharan with Navin Nooli as the film editor. As for Vijay, apart from this, the actor is expected to have two more films in the pipeline.
