Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi may have been rumoured to be together for quite some time now but neither of them spoke about their relationship. However, now it seems that the two of them have decided to make it official and take the plunge. The families of the couple announced their engagement on June 8. The ceremony is expected to be held on June 9, that is today, at Varun’s plush residence in Hyderabad.

Recently some of the members close to the couple took to social media to share the invite of their engagement which has garnered a lot of attention. Many fans have reposted the same on the social media. If reports are to be believed, the guestlist will boast of some prominent celebrities from Telugu cinema since Varun belongs to one of the most popular families of the industry. Reports suggest that Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind, Sai Dharam Tej, Panja Vaisshav Tej, among others along with several other cousins of Varun will be a part of the ceremony. As for their marriage date, the couple and their families are yet to make an announcement on the same.

For the unversed, Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi met each other on the sets of their 2017 film Mister, a romantic action drama directed by Srinu Vaitla. While the two actors were expected to have shared a great on and off-screen camaraderie during the shoot of the film, we hear that the rumours about them dating started surfacing when they worked together again in the 2020 film Antariksham 9000 KMPH. The sci-fi adventure movie also featured Aditi Rao Hydari and was directed by Sankalp Reddy. Although neither of the actors confirmed about their relationship, the news comes as a treat to fans who were rooting for them since then.
