With every passing day, Pan India Star Tovino Thomas has been embarking greater heights. The actor, who won hearts with his comic role as Minnal Murali and later in the hard-hitting Pan India film 2018 Everyone Is A Hero based on the Kerala floods, have added another feather to his hat. The stellar emotional performance of the actor not only bagged him a nomination at the very prestigious Septimius Awards making him the only South Indian Actor nominated in the Best Asian Actor category and now we hear that the actor has created history by winning the award too. The news comes after another good news for the film’s team, as it was selected as India’s official entry to Oscars 2024.
Tovino Thomas won the Septimius Awards as the Best Asian Actor for 2018 Everyone Is A Hero marking it as a giant achievement in the history of Malayalam as well as Indian cinema. Speaking of Septimius Awards, it is an annual award ceremony, and was held from September 25 and 26 in the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The prestigious ceremony showcases the best films and talent from around the world.
Tovino Thomas' accomplishment takes the pride of Indian and Malayalam cinema to the international stage graced by many legends. The 2023 biggest blockbuster from the Malayalam film industry has not only won accolades all across the country but also emerged as the Industry hit.
Director Jude Anthany Joseph had succeeded in recreating the Kerala floods and giving those wow moments to the audience. The art department and production team take a major credit in making this happen. 2018 Everyone Is A Hero is expected to be one of the biggest budget movies from Mollywood and features an ensemble star cast which also includes Asif Ali, Kunchako Boban, Lal, Narain, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Tanvi, etc in lead roles. It was produced by Venu Kunnappilly, C K Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph under the banner of Kavya Film Company and PK Prime Productions.
