But did you know, there is a fascinating story behind this song from the film! It seems that the entire team required eight days of practice before the final cut was shot. From what we hear, Naga Chaitanya and the Thandel team including choreographer VJ Sekhar truly poured their heart and soul not only into making this film but also focusing on every aspect of it. A prime example of their dedication is the song ‘Namo Namah Shivaya’. Both Naga Chaitanya and the film's female lead, Sai Pallavi, underwent intense rehearsals for the song. They practiced rigorously for almost eight to nine days because the choreography was slightly different from typical dance styles, demanding extra effort and precision. After 8 days of intense practice, the final shot was taken.

Speaking about the song, the original Telugu version was sung by Anurag Kulkarni and Haripriya, with lyrics written by Jonnavithula and music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Inspired by true events, Thandel is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2018, depicting how Pakistani forces captured a fisherman from Srikakulam in international waters. Considering the theme, the film deeply resonated with audiences, evoking strong emotions, leaving many viewers teary-eyed as they left the theatres.

The on-screen pairing of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi was widely appreciated. Produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts, written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the romantic action thriller film also starred Prakash Belawadi, Aadukalam Naren, Divya Pillai, Karunakaran, among others.
