Thalaivar 170: Rajinikanth kicks off the film with a pooja : Bollywood News

For the past couple of days, Thalaivar 170 has been making a lot of noise. The film’s extensive star cast has got everyone talking considering that it will see actors from different film industries coming together. Along with the ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, the film will also see Rajinikanth reunite with his Hum co-star Amitabh Bachchan after decades, further adding to the anticipation. Amid all the hoopla, the latest update is that the ‘Thalaivar’ has kicked off this untitled venture, directed by TJ Gnanavel.

Thalaivar 170: Rajinikanth kicks off the film with a pooja

A day ago, Lyca Productions shared the details of the extensive star cast who are roped in for this untitled venture, which is currently being referred to as Thalaivar 170. The film is expected to go on floors this month and the makers held a mahurat pooja before kicking off the action entertainer in Trivandrum, Kerala. Along with the team of the film, attending it was also the leading man Rajinikanth, who was seen in his new look as well as the leading lady Manju Warrier. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the production house shared glimpses of the pooja and tagged the entire cast of the film.

For the unversed, earlier today, the makers also unveiled the first look poster of Rajinikanth, which too was in monochrome mode, similar to the photos posted by the production house while introducing the rest of the star cast in the film.

Although Rajinikanth is expected to play the lead role, it is yet to be seen the kind of roles that Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and legendary Amitabh Bachchan will be seen essaying in the film. Directed by TJ Gnanavel and with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Thalaivar 170 is expected to be mounted on a massive scale, as mentioned by Rajinikanth earlier this week.
