Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has made serious allegations against Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, accusing the actor of ignoring police instructions and contributing to a stampede incident during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. The tragic event claimed the life of a woman and injured her eight-year-old son.

Revanth Reddy Accuses Allu Arjun of Violating Protocol
During a recent Assembly session, Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun for visiting the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad without police permission. He alleged that the actor’s actions, including standing through his car's sunroof and waving to fans, caused chaos among the crowd. Reddy further claimed that despite the police urging Arjun to leave the venue to control the situation, the actor refused to comply.
"What type of person behaves like this? Even after a woman lost her life in the stampede, he chose to stay. The police had to intervene and force him out," Reddy remarked, questioning the actor’s conduct.
Allu Arjun Refutes Allegations in a Press Conference
Responding to the allegations, Allu Arjun held a press conference to deny the claims. He clarified that he was following police directions throughout his visit and stated that no information regarding permission denial was conveyed to him.
“Had there not been permission, they would have asked us to leave. I am a law-abiding citizen and would have adhered to their instructions. The crowd gathered because of their love for me, but it was not a roadshow or a procession,” Arjun explained. He also dismissed the claim that his actions were the cause of the stampede, attributing the crowd’s enthusiasm to the massive popularity of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Police Intervention and High Court Bail
Days after the incident, the police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Arjun was arrested on December 13 but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on the same day. He was released early on December 14.
Reddy criticized the film fraternity for supporting Allu Arjun without showing compassion for the victims. “Top film personalities rushed to meet him after his arrest, but none visited the injured boy fighting for his life in the hospital. This is inhuman,” he said.
