Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has admitted to feeling unsatisfied with her performance in ‘Kaavaalaa’, a track from Rajinikanth’s Jailer, even as the song gained significant traction online after its release.
The actress made the comments during a conversation with filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, who visited her Mumbai home as part of her YouTube vlog series.
The ‘Kaavaalaa’ conversation
Discussing the various songs she has been part of, Tamannaah told Farah Khan, “I was a little unsatisfied when I shot for ‘Kaavaalaa’ because I felt like I could have done better.”
Farah Khan responded by pointing out that Tamannaah tends to hold herself to a high standard, saying, “But you are that type who always feels they could have done better.” Tamannaah added context, noting that she had rehearsed for ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ for 15 days and wanted to bring the same level of preparation to other tracks. “I am not a trained dancer,” she said.
‘Kaavaalaa’ was composed by Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics by Arunraja Kamaraj and performed by Shilpa Rao.
Upcoming projects
Tamannaah is set to appear alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan: Force of the Forrest, a film described as exploring the cultural folklore genre. The story has been written by Arunabh Kumar, with direction by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar.
The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, with cinematography by Manu Anand.
She is also part of the upcoming horror film Ragini 3, which also stars Junaid Khan. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. Further details about the project are yet to be disclosed.
