South superstar Krishna passes away; Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodkar and family issue statement: say, ‘goodbyes aren’t forever’ : Bollywood News

Superstar of the yesteryear Krishna Garu, also the father of actor Mahesh Babu, passed away during the early hours of Tuesday. As soon as the news broke on the internet, fans started sending their love and support to his family. Amid all the condolences messages pouring in, the Ghattamaneni family has issued a joint statement.

The family members mourned the death of the veteran Telugu actor. GMB Entertainment issued the first statement of the family after Krishna's death. Along with Mahesh and Namrata Shirodkar, the statement was also issued by their children - Gautham and Sitara, as well as the actor's sisters Manjula, Padmavathi, and Priyadarshini Ghattamaneni.

It read, “It is with the deepest grief that we inform you of the passing of our dearest Krishna garu. He was a superstar in so many ways beyond the movie screen... guided by love, humility and compassion. He will live on through his work, through us, and the many lives he influenced. He loved us more than anything and we will miss him more with each passing day... but as they say, goodbyes aren't forever. Until we meet again... - THE GHATTAMANENI FAMILY.”

Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy aka Krishna was admitted to Continental Hospitals in Gachibowli around 2 AM in an unconscious state after he suffered a cardiac arrest. Reportedly, the late actor was undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and was on a ventilator. Given that Mahesh Babu's mother Indira Devi and brother Ramesh Babu also died their year, the Ghattamaneni family suffered a great loss.
