The engagement was officially announced by Naga Chaitanya's father, the renowned actor Nagarjuna. In a heartfelt post on social media, he shared his delight at welcoming Sobhita into the family. “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless!” he wrote.

Sobhita Dhulipala was last seen in Dev Patel's Monkey Man. She also did the voice dubbing for Deepika Padukone in Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD.
