While fans were excited to hear Orry aka Orhan Awtaramani, the new BFF in Bollywood spill some beans about the actors he often interacts, they were in for a surprise when he made a reference to a ‘husband’ of Shruti Haasan. While this popular celebrity confessed to being friends with him, social media users were more curious about Haasan tying the knot in secrecy. But putting an end to this was the actress, who took to social media to clarify on the same. Also, her ‘husband’ Santanu Hazarika too came in support of her and shared a similar post.
Taking to her Instagram story, Shruti Haasan addressed the constant rumours about her marriage, saying, “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down.” Coming in support of her was also her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika, who has been dating the actress-singer for quite some time now, who added, “Y'all need to calm down! We are not married! Individuals who don't know us please stop spreading rumours (folded hands emoji)”.
For the unversed, this rumour started with an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session held by Orry on social media wherein users were intriguingly asking questions about a star’s life. One of the Reddit users asked him, “"Hi Orry, has there been a celebrity who has shown you an unnecessary attitude while posing for a photo?? If you can’t take a name just give hints.” Responding to it, Orhan said, “Shruti Haasan. Not for posing because I never asked her, but she was very very rude to me at an event that I had actually got her into and I don’t even know her!”
He went on to add, “Felt very bad, but there was probably some misunderstanding because I am good with her husband and I adore him. This will get sorted out in time. However, I heard from the rumour mill she called me a “Pune” (peon) like a spot boy or smthng.”
