Veteran actor Kamal Haasan turned 71 on Friday, and to mark the special day, his daughter and actress Shruti Haasan shared a heartfelt birthday post for her father. Taking to Instagram, Shruti posted a touching video compilation featuring some of their most precious and goofy moments together, celebrating her “favourite human and incredible appa.”

In her caption, Shruti wrote, “Happy birthday to my favourite human who also happens to be my incredible appa :)” Expressing her gratitude and admiration, she continued, “Thank you for your words of wisdom that you impart with such ease and humour. Thank you for being the most adorable daddy who still buys me my favourite cookies and snacks yourself — the best person to sing with and talk about music and movies with, and the one who makes me laugh through everything.”

She concluded her note with a heartfelt wish: “This birthday I wish for you to continue to be all that you dream to be. Your magic, your sparkle, and your gorgeous soul are without comparison in this universe. Happy, happy birthday to you @ikamalhaasan.” The post was set to “Let It Be” by The Beatles, adding a nostalgic and emotional touch.

Earlier this week, Shruti had also given fans a glimpse into her sweet bond with her father. She shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself getting her makeup done while playfully chatting with her team. In the middle of it, she picked up her phone to call her dad, teasing him with, “Hi Appa, you still sleeping?”

Sharing the clip, Shruti captioned it, “I spend almost all my time with my girls — each of us hustling and building our lives every day, but we do it while being completely mental and enjoying every second of this crazy ride called life and work.”

Shruti’s affectionate post and video tribute once again showcased the warm and fun relationship she shares with her legendary father, Kamal Haasan, making fans’ hearts melt on his milestone birthday.
