Actress Shruti Haasan has joined the cast of Yash starrer Toxic. Several reports suggest that the film is touted to be an action entertainer with a drug mafia storyline at the centre of it. The story will be reportedly set in Goa. The high-budget movie will be mounted on a huge scale. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, will now have Haasan as the leading lady.
A source revealed to ETimes, “Shruti Haasan will be playing a vital role in the film.” The makers are yet to make an official announcement for the leading lady.
In December 2023, Bollywood Hungama reported that Shruti Haasan is intricately involved in the musical aspect of the film Toxic. Renowned music composer Jeremy Stack, hailing from London, UK, crafted a captivating score for the title announcement clip, resonating deeply with the Indian audience. While Stack's mesmerizing compositions have struck a chord, speculation looms about his potential involvement in the entire background music for the movie.
Adding to the intrigue is Shruti Haasan, whose voice graces the title announcement, and not only did she lend her vocals but also penned the poignant lyrics.
Produced under KVN Productions, and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is set for its April 10, 2025 release.
