Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer upcoming film Maa Inti Bangaaram has officially been postponed. The makers have now announced that the film will release in cinemas worldwide on June 19, 2026, instead of its previously scheduled date of May 15.

The announcement was made by Samantha’s production banner Tralala Moving Pictures, marking the company’s maiden home production venture. According to the official statement shared by the team, the decision to postpone the release was taken strategically to avoid clashing with the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season.
The makers reportedly wanted audiences across the Telugu states to fully engage with the cricket tournament, particularly supporting Sunrisers Hyderabad during the crucial phase of the competition, without affecting the film’s theatrical prospects.
Maa Inti Bangaaram is considered a significant project in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s career as it marks her debut as a producer. The actress has reunited with filmmaker Nandini Reddy after their successful collaboration on Oh! Baby in 2019.
The film is being described as a family action drama with emotionally driven storytelling set against the backdrop of the 1980s. Samantha reportedly essays the role of a seemingly soft-spoken newlywed daughter-in-law who carries a mysterious past and hidden motives. Industry reports also suggest that the actress has performed several intense action sequences for the film, including stunt scenes executed while wearing a saree without the use of a body double.
The project features a strong supporting cast including Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gautami, Sreemukhi, Anand, Lakshmi, Srinivas Gavireddy and Manjusha in key roles. Music for the film has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The soundtrack has already generated early buzz online, especially after the wedding-themed track ‘Thassadiya’ gained traction on social media platforms.
Apart from Samantha, the film is also being produced by Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru. With its revised June release slot arriving after the IPL finale scheduled for May 31, the makers appear to be positioning the film for a wider theatrical window and stronger audience turnout.
