Whenever something big happens in the country, they are often expected to give their opinion on the said topic. Recently actor Samantha Akkineni took a dig at the media and people who criticise actors for not having an opinion on important issues.

Samantha took to Instagram and posted a video in which she is seen participating in the ‘What did she say’ challenge. She took the opportunity to address the topic on actors having to voice their opinion on everything. The text on the video read, "Them: We need your opinion on "this important topic". Me: Wondering since when did actors' opinions matter soooooo much."

"We're entertainers, Not fact-checkers. Why are actors crucified for having an opinion about the important matters pertaining to the world? We are humans too and We make mistakes too. But canceling us for speaking out or not speaking out aloud on each & every topic is a bit unfair, don't you think? On the work front, Samantha will soon be seen in Amazon Prime Original series The Family Man 2. She will be making her digital debut with the series. She will also be seen in Shakuntalam, a mythological drama film written and directed by Gunasekhar.
