Samantha Akkineni is one of the most popular actresses down south. Apart from her rich filmography, she is also known for her philanthropic activities. Recently, she gifted a car to auto driver Kavitha to help her run a cab service. Kavitha had appeared on a talk show hosted by Samantha where she revealed that she was the sole breadwinner of her house. Samantha then promised to gift her a new car to help start her cab business.
Samantha kept her promise and gifted Kavitha a car worth Rs 12.5 lakh. On the show hosted by Samantha, Kavitha had revealed that she struggles to feed her family of seven sisters during the days and rides auto from Miyapur to Bachupally to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will soon be seen in the Amazon Prime original The Family Man 2 which will mark her digital debut. She is currently shooting for the Telugu mythological film Shakunthalam. She also has director Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
