On Sai Pallavi's birthday, Kamal Haasan's production house Raaj Kamal Films International announced that the actress will be the female lead of their upcoming film headlined by actor Siva Kartikeyan. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The film will be produced by SPFI, multi-faceted legend Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment.
The film was first annouced in January this year. The film also marks the foray of Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI) into Tamil cinema This is the 51st production of RKFI, 50th being Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, to be out in June 2022.

Meanwhile, on her birthday, Sai Pallavi also announced her upcoming film Gargi. Sharing a glimpse of the making of the legal drama, Sai Pallavi wrote, "I waited months to talk about this film, And finally!!! my birthday is when the stubborn team decided to give in and release this. Presenting to you, GARGI ❤️, @gautham_chandran ’s brain child! @akhilragk, a special mention for what you’ve done with this video". Directed by Gautam Ramachandran, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
