Hombale Films’ and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year. Following the success of Kantara in 2022, audiences had been eagerly awaiting its prequel. The recently released trailer features gripping moments and striking visuals that have generated widespread excitement. Within 24 hours, it received over 107 million views and 3.4 million likes, also becoming the most shared trailer in a single day.

The trailer of Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to set new benchmarks. While it has received widespread appreciation, its record as the most shared trailer within 24 hours is particularly notable. So far, the trailer has crossed over 160 million views. The high number of shares highlights genuine audience excitement and reflects the pride viewers feel in the film.

Expanding its reach beyond borders, the makers are releasing the film in multiple languages, including Spanish, marking a significant milestone for the franchise. Rishab expressed his excitement about the film’s Spanish release, saying, “Pehli film main leke aara hoon, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, sab language mein. Even in Spanish. Main bohot curious hoon ki Spanish mein mera sound kaisa hoga. Bohot curious hoon main. It's like a first film. Pehli baar kar rahan hoon main, ye feel hai mera.”

Rishab Shetty, along with his wife Pragathi, recently visited the Kollur Mookambika Temple following the release of the Kantara: Chapter 1 trailer. The couple offered prayers, seeking blessings for the film’s success.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is among Hombale Films’ most ambitious projects. The film’s creative team includes music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan, who have all contributed to shaping its visual and emotional narrative.

Hombale Films is going all out to continue the legacy of their 2022 hit Kantara. For Kantara: Chapter 1, the makers have put together an elaborate war sequence with the help of national and international experts, involving over 500 skilled fighters and 3,000 participants. The sequence was filmed across a 25-acre town on rugged terrain over 45–50 days, making it one of the largest sequences in Indian cinema.

Scheduled for a worldwide release on October 2, Kantara: Chapter 1 will be available in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English, reaching audiences across regions while staying true to its cultural roots.

With Kantara: Chapter 1, Hombale Films aims to further expand the scope of Indian cinema, offering an immersive experience that highlights folklore, faith, and strong cinematic storytelling.
