Speaking of the professional front, Shetty will be next seen in the second instalment of Kantara. In fact, the team has already started shoot for the prequel. A grand and massive set was constructed for the Muhurat Pooja, where actor-director Rishab Shetty, producer Vijay Kiragandur, and the other cast and crew were present. Following the muhurat pooja, the makers will kick off the principal photography for the film in December, and the rest of the cast will be announced in due time.

For the unversed, Kantara, initially released in Kannada, later found its way into Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu markets due to its exceptional reception. The film is an action-packed thriller deeply rooted in Karnataka folklore, with Rishab Shetty in the director's chair and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty in pivotal roles.
