Many people think that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have been dating for a very long time. However, neither of the two has confirmed the same. The rumoured couple worked together on the films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Meanwhile, both of them have made a name for themselves. Given this, recently several media reports claimed that an on-screen reunion of the duo is on the cards. Reacting to the same, Rashmika said she hopes she gets to work with Vijay again as their well-wishers and fans have been wishing for the same.

“As of now, no. But I hope it happens this year or next. I feel I’ve gotten a lot of messages from our well-wishers who feel it’s been a while since we came together on screen. We want to do justice to that and wait for a script that justifies both of our personalities.”

Elaborating her take further, the Bheeshma actress further added that she ‘absolutely loved working with him’. “I feel I’ve improved so much from Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, I really want to see how much better I can be. I want him to see me perform and I’m waiting for his reaction. I hope it happens next year or so,” she told to conclude her take.

During her conversation with the portal, the actress also opened up about being criticised for not watching Kantara. In her defence, she stated that she couldn’t watch the film as soon as it was released as she was busy with work commitments.

Coming to the professional front, the 26-year-old actress is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming Tamil film Varisu. Helmed by Vamshi Paidipally, the family entertainer also stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead. The forthcoming film, which will be backed by Dil Raju, is slated to release on January 12.
