In his detailed post, Varma applauded the film’s visual grandeur, writing, “After seeing #Mirai, I don’t remember the last time VFX felt so grand, even in the so-called 400 cr films.” He further praised the interval sequence, devotional undertones, and the film’s screenplay structure, describing them as “supremely immersive.”

Praise for Performances

Varma admitted he had initial doubts about the casting choices but was proven wrong after watching the film. He wrote to Manoj Manchu, “I thought you were miscast as the villain, and I slapped myself after seeing your terrific portrayal.” Similarly, he appreciated Teja Sajja’s ability to lead a large-scale action film, remarking, “I thought you might look too young to carry such large-scale action and I was double wrong.”

Applause for the Creative Team

The filmmaker also credited director Karthik Ghattamaneni for the project’s originality, calling Mirai “myth sprinkled in visual color mixed with heroism” and praising his grip on all departments. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad was equally applauded for backing such a massive project despite industry skepticism. Varma noted, “In spite of not coming from a film family background, your individual passion fuelling such a project, going against all so-called industry experts’ warnings, clearly prove that you believed in yourself… proving fortune favours the brave.”

“Not a Small Film Trying to Be Big”

Concluding his note, Ram Gopal Varma spoke about the film’s understated strength: “This is not a small film which tried to be big. It is actually a very big film which didn’t boast about itself, till the audience boosted it.” He also highlighted how Mirai balances spectacle with human emotions, saying, “In the middle of swords, spells, and supernatural threats, the film doesn’t fail to keep family, duty, love, and betrayal in razor sharp focus.”
