Ram Charan hints at sequel to Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari with Nag Ashwin as the filmmaker : Bollywood News

The magic of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (JVAS) has returned to the big screen, 35 years after it first captivated audiences. The fantasy-adventure classic, which originally released in 1990 starring Chiranjeevi and the late Sridevi, was re-released on May 9 to commemorate its legacy—and it brought with it more than just nostalgia. During a recent interaction celebrating the re-release, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi sparked excitement by hinting at a possible sequel.

Addressing the lingering curiosity that fans have held on to for decades, Ram Charan jokingly demanded answers from Nag Ashwin, leaving fans curious about the latter’s involvement with the film which was originally directed by Kovelamudi Raghuvendra Rao. “We, the audience, still want to know what happened to the ring and that fish at the end of the movie. Only one person can answer – Nag Ashwin. We are not just asking; we are demanding an answer from you!” he said piquing the interest of many.

But the conversation quickly took a serious turn as Ram Charan went on to praise the film’s legacy and the dream team that made it a cult classic. “This is a dream team. Legends like Ashwini Dutt garu, Raghavendra Rao garu, Ilaiyaraja garu, Vincent garu, and Paruchuri Brothers worked together. Such a legendary collaboration is rare. Maybe I became a Hanuman devotee after listening to the Jai Chiranjeeva Jagadeka Veera song in my childhood. It’s the most memorable film. It’s a magical, adventurous, romantic movie.”

Chiranjeevi, too, joined in and added fuel to the fire by expressing his openness to a sequel - one directed by Kalki 2898 AD filmmaker Nag Ashwin. The megastar even suggested the perfect casting: his son Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of late actress Sridevi.

The idea of the next generation continuing the JVAS legacy has already ignited social media, with fans demanding updates from Nag Ashwin. With Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor currently working together on Peddi, fans couldn’t help but wonder if this pairing could be a teaser of things to come.

While no official confirmation has been made, the buzz surrounding a sequel to Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari is definitely gaining momentum. And if this dream team truly comes together again, Telugu cinema could be in for another magical ride.
