Producer Sangeeta Ahir ventures into the South film industry with the Nikhil Siddhartha starrer bilingual film Spy : Bollywood News

With the announcement of her first Telugu language feature film Spy, producer Sangeeta Ahir has now ventured into the South cinema industry. The film in question is a suspense thriller which is all set to be released towards the end of next month in two languages. Nikhil Siddhartha of Kartikeya 2 fame will be seen playing the lead role in the movie.

Talking about the film, we hear that film’s shoot has been completed and that the bilingual drama will be releasing in the Hindi language for the Northern audience along with Telugu. As a producer of her first Telugu feature film 'Spy' Sangeeta Ahir is eagerly awaiting the release of the film and termed it as another feather in her cap. She considers it to be an important milestone in her film career. Talking about it, Sangeeta said, "Over the last one and half decades I have produced many Hindi and Marathi films which were not only different in their subjects, but also quite talked about and were well received by the audiences. For quite sometime now our company was thinking of venturing into south market and hence we were looking forward in associating with 'Spy' movie.

Further, Sangeeta also opened up about the growing influence of South films in Hindi market, adding, "Audiences always have had appreciated good stories and liked good films. This is an era of Pan-India films and now language is no barrier for viewers. Nothing is more superior than the content itself. Spy is originally made in Telugu but it will also be released in Hindi. I am pretty sure that audiences all over India are going to like suspense-thriller film.” Sangeeta Ahir concluded by stating that Spy is just the beginning and her company is now looking to further expand their base in other South film industries as well.

In the past, Sangeeta Ahir has produced movies like Golmaal Returns, Total Dhamaal, Dagadi Chawl among others. For the uninitiated, Spy is jointly produced by K. Rajashekhar Reddy and Kalapi Nagada of Cinekorn Entertainment. Garry BH has directed the movie and the story has been penned down by K. Rajashekhar Reddy. The film is slated to release on June 29, 2023.
