Spirit, the supernatural cop thriller which Vanga begins shooting in February 2026 with Prabhas in khakee, is now being turned into a franchise. The decision was taken at the highest level of the team, considering the story’s potential to grow.

A source in the know informed, “Spirit was meant to be a one-off project. The project has been in the offing for over four years. Before COVID, Sandeep Vanga offered it to Mahesh Babu, who didn’t feel enthused by the project. Prabhas, however, loved the supernatural concept and grabbed it with both hands. It was Prabhas’ idea to turn his cop’s character into a franchise.”
