Pawan Kalyan, who is currently celebrating his success after winning the Lok Sabha Elections, has another good news. His popular film Thammudu, which released way back in 1999, is all set to return to theatres as it will be releasing once again as a way of its 25th anniversary celebrations this month. While details of the same are under wraps, fans of Kalyan will definitely be welcoming this film with open arms like they have been doing for other rereleases.
Speaking of Thammudu, it is a Telugu language sports action film written and directed by P. A. Arun Prasad with Preeti Jhangiani and Aditi Gowatriker as the leading ladies. Apart from them, the movie also features Bhupinder Singh, Achyuth, Brahmanandam, Ali, and Kitty in key supporting roles. Inspired by the Aamir Khan starrer Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, the film revolves around Pawan Kalyan as Subhash aka Subbu who steps up for his brother Chakri as a kickboxer after the latter is injured in an accident caused by their arch-rival Rohit. The film received immense response at the box office, with it also being remade in other languages like Badri in Tamil, Yuvaraja in Kannada, and Champion in Bengali.
As of now, Pawan Kalyan is busy with his political career but he has also dedicated time to his films. In fact, the superstar has about three releases in the pipeline which includes the highly-anticipated OG which is directed by Sujeeth of Saaho fame. He also has Ustaad Bhagat Singh which is directed by Harish Shankar. And along with that, he has the period action-adventure drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit which is expected to be a magnum opus and boasts of an extensive cast with names like Bobby Deol, Nidhi Agrewal, Nora Fatehi, being associated with it.
