The sexual harassment case against actor Nivin Pauly has taken a significant turn with revelations made by directors Vineeth Sreenivasan and Arun. According to their statements, Pauly was in Kerala during the dates when the alleged incident occurred in Dubai.

Pauly was shooting for Sreenivasan's film in Kochi from December 14 to 15. Subsequently, he joined the sets of the web series Pharma in the same city. This contradicts the complainant's claim that Pauly was in Dubai during those dates and allegedly raped her.

The 40-year-old woman had filed a complaint alleging gang rape by Pauly and others in Dubai. However, the directors' statements provide a solid alibi for the actor. Pauly has vehemently denied all allegations, calling the case fabricated and defamatory. He has filed a complaint against the woman with the High Court.

The Oonnukal Police has registered a case against Pauly under IPC 376, which is the Indian Penal Code section dealing with rape. As the investigation unfolds, the directors' statements are expected to play a crucial role in determining the veracity of the complainant's claims.

Readers may recall that Nivin denied the accusations in a press conference held shortly after the complaint surfaced. He asserted that he was the victim of a conspiracy, claiming to not know the woman or the alleged incident. "An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against me. I will fight it legally. I am willing to go to any lengths to prove my innocence as such fake allegations can be made against anyone. I am speaking for all of them. If I don't, such incidents will continue to happen," he said.
