After the grand success of his film Kartikeya 2, which released in multiple languages owing to its massive demand last year, Nikhil Siddhartha returned to theatres with another Pan India release in the form of SPY. While audiences across other states were excited to see the actor bringing something new to the table, they were left disappointed when the filmmakers failed to keep up their promise. While the film released in Telugu, the other language releases experienced delay and goof-ups. Apologizing on the same, Nikhil took to social media to pen a heartfelt note.
In the note, Nikhil Siddhartha expressed gratitude towards audiences in Telugu states for welcoming his film SPY with open arms and giving him a great box office opening. However, due to the cancellation of release in multiple languages and the film also witnessing issues in its overseas distribution, the film failed to garner numbers and meet expectations. Because of the same, Nikhil took to Twitter to pen an emotional note, apologizing to his fans and promising them to keep up with their expectations during his next release.
With the caption that read, “Straight from the Heart... A Promise from me to Every Cinema Loving Audience... #SpyMovie #Spy”, Nikhil opened up about the film in his note saying, “Hello, I Genuinely Thank Everyone of you for Thronging the Theatres of SPY and Giving me the Highest Opening of my Career at the Box Office. It gives me immense happiness to know the amount of trust you all have in me, However it pains me to inform you all that The Movie DID NOT have a Proper Multi Language Release across India Because of Contract/Content Delay Issues which also led to 350 Telugu Premier shows overseas being Cancelled.”
He added, “I apologise to all the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil & Malayalam Audience for this and promise that after Karthikeya2 it will be our next upcoming 3 films that will be in Theatres in all languages Perfectly Finished and released on Time. I also promise every Telugu movie lover who trusts me that from now on We will never compromise on the quality, "Whatever the pressures" and will only make sure a Finished, Checked and Fantastic Product is given to you all,” he signed off.

Talking about SPY, the film also Iswarya Menon as the leading lady and was directed by Garry BH. The film revolves around a RAW agent Jai who puts everything at stake to stop an arms dealer from destroying the country. It was released in theatres on June 29.
