Nani is all set to return with his upcoming action drama Hit 3, slated for release on May 1. The film boasts a strong ensemble cast, including Srinidhi Shetty, Surya Srinivas, Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Adarsh Balakrishna, Ravi Mariya, and Maganti Srinath in key roles. Building up the excitement, Nani recently unveiled a new look poster from the film, which has quickly gone viral across social media platforms.
In the newly released poster, Nani sports an intense and fierce look, hinting at a gripping performance. The caption reads, “7 #HIT3 #HIT3FromMay1st,” adding to the anticipation.
HIT: The First Case (2020) and HIT: The Second Case (2022) starred Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh, respectively, and both films received strong praise from fans and critics. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3 is set in Vizag and promises to deliver a darker, more intense crime thriller experience than its predecessors.

In a recent interview, Nani shared insights about his character Arjun Sarkar, describing him as an angry and fearless cop. He revealed that the role was originally intended as a cameo in HIT 2, but the makers later decided to expand it into a full-fledged lead for HIT 3. Fans are now eagerly anticipating Nani’s transformation into this intense, never-seen-before avatar.
In a chat with Great Andhra, Nani revealed, “To be honest, the HIT 3 story wasn’t finished while we were working on HIT 2. Director Sailesh requested whether we could include a high point in the climax—either starring me or another actor in a cameo. As we were creating the HIT universe, it felt like an excellent opportunity to have another actor make an appearance.”
Nani went on to say that, as a producer, he felt a sense of responsibility toward the project and chose to take on the cameo role of Arjun Sarkar himself. Although a third installment wasn’t initially part of his plans due to a packed schedule, an unexpected seven-month gap—caused by delays in another project—allowed him to commit to HIT 3. “Sailesh had been telling me that he had a narrative point, and I loved what I heard. So we started working on it,” Nani explained.
The recently released official trailer of HIT 3 has garnered massive attention and enthusiastic responses from the audience. However, it also sparked comparisons online, with fans drawing parallels between HIT 3 and other recent high-octane violent films like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Unni Mukundan’s Marco. The gritty tone, intense action sequences, and Nani’s fierce avatar have particularly fueled these comparisons.
