Nagarjuna hails historic success of Coolie, credits on-screen chemistry with Rajinikanth : Bollywood News

Action thriller Coolie starring Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna has been making waves at the box office, emerging as one of the most loved films in recent times. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Nagarjuna as Simon, a ruthless killer with Rajinikanth as the leading man.

Nagarjuna, speaking about the film’s reception, described the response as “nothing short of historic” and praised the collaboration with Rajinikanth. “Partnering with Rajinikanth on a film of this scale was an unforgettable experience — there’s a magnetic magic when two journeys like ours meet on screen. We knew we were part of something special and the energy around the film is an indicator of the same,” he said.

Coolie, which released in multiple languages across continents, has been receiving great response from audiences in India and abroad with many appreciating Nagarjuna for his antagonistic performance. “The unanimous response to my role has been overwhelming. It’s a reminder that great cinema is built on collaboration, chemistry, and the thrill of giving audiences something they will remember long after the credits roll. From the sets to the theatres, Coolie has been a celebration of legacy and reinvention — records had to break, and they did,” Nagarjuna added.

Also starring Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Rachita Ram, with Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special appearances, Coolie revolves around a former coolie union leader investigates the death of his friend which leads him to a crime syndicate.

Prior to Coolie, Nagarjuna also received much love for Kuberaa which also released a couple of months ago. The actor is next set to return to cinemas with the 4K and Dolby Atmos re-release of his iconic Telugu film Siva, promising fans another cinematic experience on the big screen.
