In a candid revelation, actor Naga Chaitanya shared that he met his wife, actress Sobhita Dhulipala, through Instagram. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2024, have been open about their relationship journey.
During his appearance on Jagapathi Babu’s ZEE5 talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, Naga Chaitanya recounted the beginnings of their connection, “We met on Instagram. I never imagined I would meet my partner there. I was familiar with her work. One day, when I posted about Shoyu (his cloud kitchen), she commented with an emoji. I began chatting with her, and soon after, we met.” This simple interaction led to a blossoming relationship, culminating in their marriage.
Their wedding, held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, was a blend of tradition and personal significance. The venue, owned by Naga Chaitanya's family, holds sentimental value as it features a statue of his grandfather, the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The couple chose this location to honour his legacy and seek his blessings.
He went on to recall a funny incident involving Sobhita’s reaction to one of the songs from Thandel, his first Rs 100 crore film. “She was angry with me because of the song ‘Bujji Thalli’. It’s actually the nickname I have given her. She thought I had asked the director (Chandoo Mondeti) to use it in the film. She didn’t talk to me for a few days — but why would I do that?" he laughed.
Their relationship, which began with a social media interaction, has since evolved into a deep and meaningful partnership. The couple continues to share glimpses of their life together, resonating with fans who admire their genuine connection.
