Manam, which features the three generations of the Akkineni family, recently released in theatres owing to the film completing ten years of release this year, and audiences couldn’t stop raving the film yet again. In fact, recently when the leading man of the film Naga Chaitanya visited the theatres to know about the response of the film, he was merely surprised with the way fans cheered for him and Samantha Ruth Prabhu during their wedding scene.

Readers would be aware that due to the ongoing elections in India, many new releases have been halted which resulted in the re-release of several old films including this 2014 Telugu fantasy drama and yet again it has been garnering love from audience. The film kicks off with the story of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu getting married and after a brief romance, how the growing misunderstandings between them, separate them. In their famous ‘pelli scene’ aka ‘post marriage scene’, fans went crazy over the chemistry between ChaySam. Interestingly, Naga Chaitanya who was also present in the theatres attempted to calm them down. However, despite his efforts, the audiences continued to sing and dance during the sequence.

Set in multiple time periods spanning across almost hundred years, Manam traces the journey of two couples – Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as well as Nagarjuna and Shriya Saran playing the lead roles. On the personal front, audiences would be aware that ChaySam tied the knot in 2017 but in 2021, the couple decided to part ways citing irreconcilable differences.
