Naga Chaitanya on being accepted by Sobhita Dhulipala’s family, “I’m treated like a son by her family” : Bollywood News

Amidst the hectic bustle of his wedding next week, Naga Chaitanya took time off to speak of his first meeting with his bride to be. “I met Sobhita in Mumbai for the launch of my OTT show. During that time, she did have a show with the same platform as well. During the event hosted by the OTT platform is where we first interacted,” he said.

Now Chaitanya feels like part of Sobhita’s family. “Like every Telugu household, Sobhita’s family too is very cultured and affectionate,” he said. “I am treated like a son. There has been a lot of comfort and many things in common from the get-go. Sobhita is a family girl, and we have all celebrated a couple of festivals together as well. I’m sure our bond will be even stronger with time. I see so much excitement in dad every time there is a family gathering. He has been involved with the wedding planning from the scratch. It gives me so much joy to see him like this. It’s been lovely getting to know Sobhita and her family. The past few months watching the families interact has been a joy.”

He added, “I am really looking forward to and excited for the wedding day, going through all the rituals and watching the families come together. The wedding is happening in Annapurna Studios, a very special and sentimental venue for the family, which makes it even more important that all the arrangements flow well and memorable for everyone. All in all, there is a lot of excitement and healthy nervousness in me. It’s going to be an elaborate and lavish wedding in terms of the rituals that we are going to follow. Sobhita’s family has taken keen interest in this and I’m totally looking forward to the experience. It’s a very intimate guest list with only immediate family and friends.”

A story doing the rounds is that the couple has cut a deal with an OTT platform to film the wedding, a la Nayanthara and her husband. Naga Chaitanya shoots down this rumour. “This is false news. There is no such deal,” he clarified.
