In a recent interview with the Peacock Magazine, Mrunal Thakur discussed a wide range of topics as the cover girl where she traced her film career journey. During the same, she confessed about being a fan of Malayalam films and also shared her experience of watching a recent film. “Recently, I had the pleasure of watching the film Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil, and it left a real impact on me,” she told the magazine. The actress went on to add, “As an admirer of Malayalam cinema, I’m consistently impressed by the depth and quality of storytelling in the industry”.
Mrunal Thakur reveals being an actor who is not restricted by geographical boundaries
Readers would be aware that ever since her debut in 2022 with Sita Ramam, the actress featured in other films like Hi Nanna with Nani as well as the recent The Family Star with Vijay Deverakonda. Expressing gratitude towards audiences who have accepted and loved her as a part of the industry, Mrunal stated, “The love and acceptance from Telugu and overall, the South audiences have been overwhelming.”
She further explained about the key factor she looks in a script and added, “I trust my instincts when choosing projects, prioritising stories that align with my values and resonate with viewers. Whether it’s Hi Nanna or Sita Ramam, I remain committed to selecting roles that reflect human experiences and convey meaningful messages. This exploration of doing different language films truly has made me understand the value of being a national actor and an Indian film actor who is not restricted by any geographical boundaries.”
About Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming projects
Mrunal Thakur will next be seen in the Dinesh Vijan’s film Pooja Meri Jaan which is directed by Navjot Gulati. The film also stars Huma Qureshi in a key role along with Vikram Singh Chauhan and Vijay Raaz in supporting characters. Besides that, the actress also maintained that she has two upcoming projects but has refrained from divulging any details.
