Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda who is now a pan-India star has been using his social media platform to raise awareness about the novel coronavirus. Recently, the Arjun Reddy actor visited the Telangana DGP headquarters to thank the officers, who are working on the field to combat COVID-19.

On Saturday, the official handle of DGP of Telangana Police posted a video with Vijay Deverakonda and wrote, "ThanQ Vijay @TheDeverakonda. For coming to support us #InFightAgainstCovid19 on behalf of Tollywood. Where a single word of appreciation inspire us tonnes of times,your representing here millions of hearts Industry&Audience who admire', I think there won't b perfect unit to measure."

In the video, Vijay is heard saying that he came to meet the DGP and to thank the team. “I came here to thank the police force on behalf of the Telugu film industry. I was in a meeting where they are helping essential service providers run their operations without any hiccups. You’re also helping keep up law and order, apart from helping us break the chain.”

“I have one message to give to all the police personnel out there. We might play heroes on screen but you are the true heroes as you are putting your lives at risk. I request you not to get tired of all this and stay strong to protect our community and state as you’ve done so far. Thank you and all strength to you,” he concluded.
