Mammootty Kampany issues copyright notice against YouTuber who gave negative reviews to Turbo : Bollywood News

While the recently released Mammootty starrer Turbo has been receiving love from audiences, a YouTuber was seen sharing a highly negative opinion about the action entertainer. The review shared on the platform made use of the original poster of Turbo without permission. Followed by this, the producers Mammootty Kampany has issued a notice of copyright infringement for using the film’s content without permission, further leading to the video being taken down from site.

Although there has been no update on the legal action on social media nor has there been a copy of the notice issued by Mammootty Kampany, reports claim that the makers were also irked about the negative reviews against a film which has been gaining a lot of acceptance at the box office from audiences. In fact, reports also suggest that the makers even wanted to put in a request to disallow the spread of such content from influencers until after a week of the film’s release since they argued that such kind of negative reviews affect the film’s business.

It is being said that this is not the first time where the YouTuber has given negative review to a Mammootty film that is doing well in terms of business. It has been learnt that in the past, this reviewer has shared such negative opinions about many of the Malayalam superstar’s releases, which went on to become a box office success.

Speaking of Turbo, the film is an action drama, directed by Vysakh. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role along with Anjana Jayaprakash, Bindu Panicker and Shabareesh Varma in prominent roles. It also marks the Malayalam debut of actors Raj B. Shetty, Sunil and Kabir Duhan Singh. With music composed by Christo Xavier, Vishnu Sarma as the cinematographer and Shameer Muhammed as editor, it released in theatres on May 23.
