If not for the coronavirus pandemic, today is the day Thalapathy Vijay starrer Master would have released in theatres across the world. While fans of the actor are disappointed with the indefinite delay in the release, the makers decided to treat the fans with a new poster of the film.
In the poster, a brooding Vijay is seen looking down with the sunlight falling on him. The caption in the poster reads, "Lockdown shouldn’t knock down our spirits! Master will meet you soon." Unveiling the new poster, Lokesh tweeted: “Survival first! Celebration next! Master will rise at the right time! Stay home, stay safe.”

Master is touted to be an action-thriller and Vijay will be seen playing the role of a college professor. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the antagonist in the film and this is the first time the two actors will be seen sharing screen. The film has already managed to grab attention with its posters and the song sung by Thalapathy himself. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Antony Varghese, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj Soundarya Nandakumar and Ramya Subramanian in pivotal roles.
