From being aspiring art lover in sixth standard to now a big name with Kantara, life the definition of life has taken a 360 degree turn for actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty. The actor, who is not only known for his acting but also for storytelling and direction, is gearing up to take his most successful fantasy franchise ahead with another film in the making. Amid that, we found some unseen photos of the actor indulging in his folklore love as he was seen performing at his alma mater.

Did you know that Rishab Shetty started his journey in the world of art and entertainment at a very early age, when he was as young as being in sixth standard? Right from there he was an ardent follower of Yakshagana and even performed on it with utmost sincerity. As these photos surfaced, Rishab was seen opening up about the same as he said, "My journey as an artist started when I was in 6th standard when I performed Yakshagana. Since then I always dreamt of bringing folklore of my region to big screen for the world to see."

Yakshagana is a folklore dance form, which Rishab Shetty elaborately used in the blockbuster Pan India movie Kantara: The Legend which released in 2022. The popular folkfore dance was used in the track ‘Varahroopam’ in Kantara and he even performed it live in front of the audiences during the Amazon Prime Video event where the prequel Kantara: Chapter 1 was announced recently.

For the unversed, Hombale Films bankrolled Kantara: A Legend which turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, giving the audiences into this divine-fantasy world for the first time. Following the roaring response, the makers are now set to turn into the franchise and the prequel Kantara: Chapter 1 has already been kicked off. It will feature Rishab Shetty as an actor and director yet again and the film is expected to trace the origin of this folklore which was portrayed in the 2022 release. As of now, the actor-filmmaker has already begun shooting for the much-awaited prequel in Karnataka.
