The much-anticipated prequel to the blockbuster Kannada film Kantara is set to embark on a journey that unveils the connection between Lord Shiva and Parshuram, a revered warrior mentioned in Hindu mythology. As the film's producer, Vijay Kiragandur, sheds light on the intricate symbolism embedded within the poster, the anticipation for Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 reaches new heights.
As per a report by News18, in a recent interview producer Kiragandur asserted, “There is a story in the coastal areas of Karnataka that Parshuram has created, and the role of Shiva is also very important in this story. The poster has been made in the symbolic form of Shiva and Parshuram”
For the unversed, the poster features Rishab Shetty, the film's protagonist, in a fierce avatar, wielding an axe and a trident. The intricate detailing and vibrant colours evoke the essence of the coastal Karnataka region, where the story unfolds.
Kiragandur further revealed that the poster's creation was a meticulous process, taking a dedicated 10 days to bring the vision to life. This attention to detail underscores the team's commitment to crafting a visually stunning and immersive cinematic experience.
With a planned shooting schedule of 10-15 days each month, the filming of Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is anticipated to be completed within 6-8 months. This will be followed by a 3-4 month post-production phase to ensure the film's release meets the highest standards. The prequel will predominantly be shot in the lush, dense forests of Sri Lanka, creating a breathtaking backdrop for the unfolding narrative.
