Kamal Haasan took to social media on Rajinikanth's 71st birthday to wish his dear friend. Both are regarded as cornerstones of Tamil cinema, having produced blockbusters both together and independently. His Tamil tweet roughly translates to, “My sweet friend Superstar @rajinikanth celebrates his birthday today. I wish him good health and many more years of delighting his fans.”

Rajinikanth, also known as Thalaivar, was most recently seen in Siruthai Siva's Annaatthe. The film was released on Diwali and is presently available to watch on Netflix. Soon, he will reveal the title of his future flick.
Kamal Haasan, better known by his stage names Ulaganayagan and Aandavar, is currently filming Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram. In addition to Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, the film is set to release in the summer of 2022.
