While several reports have been doing the rounds regarding the controversial divorce of Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and his wife Aarti Ravi, the latter has issued a statement about maintaining silence. The divorce rumours have fueled up with the estranged couple coming under the scanner with blame games being directed towards each other. Amid these complex circumstances, Aarti has taken to social media to share about the reason behind her maintaining silence.

In a long note posted by her, Aarti Ravi addressed the rumours that is doing the rounds about her relationship with her former husband. “In light of the ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasize that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I've chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice,” the note read.

She went on to write, “To be clear, my previous statement referred to the public announcement that was claimed to have been issued through mutual consent. I maintain that this came as a shock and was not a reference to the unilateral divorce that is underway. It's unfortunate that my words were misinterpreted. I still hope for a private conversation on this matter which till date has been denied. I deeply respect the sanctity of marriage and won't engage in public discussions that hurt anyone's reputation. My focus is on our family's well-being, and I trust in God's grace for guidance,” she concluded the note with her signature.

For the unversed, the issue unraveled quickly after Jayam Ravi announced his divorce with his wife by releasing a statement on social media with the latter later claiming that she was unaware about her husband taking this step. Meanwhile, reports of a rumoured affair between Ravi and his business partner and singer-spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis started doing the rounds. When the latter responded to the accusations, she further went on to allege that Aarti used to mistreat and misbehave with her husband.
