Priya Prakash Varrier’s Bollywood debut Sridevi Bungalow created a controversy as it was found to have the same name as Bollywood legend Sridevi. Director Boney Kapoor and husband of the late actress sent a legal notice to the makers of the film refraining from using his deceased wife's name in the movie’s title.
