Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One - Yuddha Kaandam, which is expected to be mounted on a massive scale, has been facing several hurdles, from legal complications to delay in release. While the film was supposed to release this month, unfortunately, the makers have yet again been unable to retain the promise and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has been quite upset with the postponement. In fact, he has penned a heartfelt note, assuring fans that the team has not given up on the Chiyaan Vikram starrer and that they are striving to complete and release it soon.
Gautham Vasudev Menon took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to pen a heartfelt note wherein he opened up about Dhruva Natchathiram, calling it a ‘passion project’. He also expressed gratitude towards his ‘cheerleader’ audiences for extending their support and love for the film. In the note, he wrote, “A vision. Lot of passion. And unwavering dedication has got Dhruva Natchathiram from pen & paper to the film that it is today. Even when all else works against us, we hope that our passion & dedication will help us get the film out to you, in theatres worldwide, soon.”
He continued, “When we announced the release date as 24th of November, we tried moving mountains to make it happen. We would be lying if we said we're not disappointed with not being able to meet the date. This note is to assure the audience that we've not given up on the film. We are doing everything within our power and beyond to cross these hurdles and get Dhruva Natchathiram out in theatres for you. All of you, the audience, have been our biggest cheerleaders. The unending love and support from you has been overwhelming & reassuring. Our hearts are full, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being our pillar of strength.”
He concluded the note adding, “As we navigate these final stages, we eagerly anticipate the day we can share our creation with you. The film will soon see the light of the day and we can't wait to embark on this cinematic journey of John & Team Basement together with you.” And signed it off as, “Love, GVM”.

Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter 1 – Yuddha Kaandam is expected to revolve around the covert operation of elite spies whose sole intention is to take down terrorist organizations. Along with Chiyaan Vikram, the film also starred Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran and Vinayakan.
