Vijay Deverakonda, best known for his powerful performances in Arjun Reddy, is set to reunite with renowned Telugu producer Dil Raju on a new project as the latter also produced Vijay’s recent release The Family Star. Announced on Vijay’s 35th birthday earlier this year, this upcoming film is an untitled action drama scheduled for a pan-Indian release in 2025. At the Moscow International Film Week, Dil Raju not only dropped an update about the film but was also all praises for the popular actor.

In an interaction with News18, the Game Changer producer shared details of the shoot schedule of this untitled entertainer with Vijay Deverakonda sharing that the shooting will commence in April next year. In the same conversation, he also expressed his excitement about working with Deverakonda again, emphasizing their strong professional relationship and the actor’s widespread appeal and said, “We share a very good equation. He’s very close to me”.

Raju also praised the work done by the actor over his career span in the South film industry, highlighting his dedication to tackling diverse and challenging roles. “He’s working really hard these days. He’s focusing on proper commercial scripts now. The film he’s currently working on is a full-blown commercial film. My next script is also a mainstream film set against the backdrop of the 1980s. It’s heavy on action,” Raju remarked.

As Deverakonda transitions from his popular loverboy roles to more intense and dramatic parts, fans are keen to see how his new films will merge action with engaging storytelling. Currently, Deverakonda is engrossed in a project with Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri in a film where he is expected to play the role of a cop and the film, called VD12, is also expected to feature Bhagyashree Borse as the leading lady but there has been no update on the same. As for his next film with Dil Raju, being referred to as VD13, it will be directed and written by filmmaker Ravi Kiran Kola.
