The anticipation for Game Changer is at an all-time high. To celebrate Ram Charan's 39th birthday in March 2024, director Shankar and the team unveiled the film's first song, titled ‘Jaragandi’ starring Kiara Advani. This high-energy dance track features the vocals of Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi and playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan. Composed by music director Thaman S, Kiara said that it is the most difficult song she has ever shot.
Kiara Advani, fresh off her successful debut at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, spoke candidly about her upcoming film Game Changer and the challenges of filming the song ‘Jaragandi’. She revealed to Film Companion that the song was the most demanding song she'd ever filmed. “For me, doing a massy song like 'Jaragandi' was actually a lot of fun,” Kiara said. “It was completely new territory for me. After the song's release, I received a ton of calls because people weren't used to seeing me go all out in a song with the hero. Even director Shankar sir complimented me on my expressiveness in this masala song. Interestingly, 'Jaragandi' is the first song we filmed, and each song in the film is completely different from the others.”
Kiara elaborated on the film's diverse music, “All the songs have distinct vibes. Shankar sir is known for his incredible songs and has a very specific vision for them. I've never worked on a song that required ten days of shooting. 'Jaragandi' was the most challenging song I've ever filmed. The choreographer, Prabhudeva sir, had us rehearse extensively. There are many intricate and demanding steps in the song. Prabhudeva sir pushed both Charan and me to perform all the steps equally well.”
Speaking about working with director S. Shankar, Kiara expressed her admiration saying, “The entire process was thoroughly enjoyable and a learning experience. Working with Shankar sir was a dream come true. He's a passionate filmmaker with a grand vision. He strives to create unique experiences within the commercial format. Shankar sir is constantly pushing boundaries and aims for each film to be better than his last. I admire his dedication and approach to filmmaking.”
Produced by the well-respected Sri Venkateswara Creations banner led by Dil Raju and Sirish, Game Changer features prominent actors like S.J. Suryah and Sunil. Scheduled for a 2024 release, the film will cater to Pan-Indian audiences with versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
